Bronny James created a historic NBA moment by assisting his father LeBron James for the first-ever son-to-father assist in league history during the Los Angeles Lakers' 119-103 victory over the Golden State Warriors.
In a remarkable family milestone, 19-year-old Bronny stole possession and passed to his 41-year-old father, who sprinted the length of the court for an uncontested dunk. This assist marked the first time in NBA history that a son has directly assisted his father on a scoring play.
"This was a special moment for our family," LeBron James said after the game. "To share the court with Bronny and make history together is something we'll always remember."
The assist came just weeks after the James duo recorded the first father-to-son assist in NBA history during a game against the Brooklyn Nets last month, making them the only father-son pair to achieve both milestones.
LeBron led the Lakers with 26 points and 11 assists, while Bronny contributed 10 points and three assists in the victory. The win helped solidify the Lakers' fourth-place position in the Eastern Conference, while the Warriors remain in 10th place. Both teams have already secured spots in the postseason playoffs beginning April 18.
In other NBA action, the New York Knicks defeated the Boston Celtics 112-106 behind Josh Hart's 26-point performance, tightening the race in the Western Conference standings. The Toronto Raptors, Houston Rockets, Chicago Bulls, and Indiana Pacers also secured victories in their respective matchups.
