Churchill's Granddaughter Backs £5 Note Redesign, Rejects Farage's 'Wokery' Claims

The Bank of England has announced that an animal will replace Sir Winston Churchill on the new £5 note, a move that has sparked political debate but earned the blessing of the late Prime Minister's own family.

Speaking to BBC Newsnight, Churchill's granddaughter, Emma Soames, voiced her wholehearted support for the currency redesign. She explicitly rejected criticisms from Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, who had dismissed the Bank's planned update as an act of "wokery."
