Summer House star Kyle Cooke is finally weighing in on the shocking romance between his estranged wife, Amanda Batula, and their polarizing costar, West Wilson. But surprisingly, the Loverboy founder isn't harboring resentment toward his ex—instead, he's deeply worried about her mental health.

Speaking to New York City journalist Adam Glyn in a TikTok interview on April 1, Kyle revealed that Amanda gave him a heads-up before taking her controversial new relationship public. While he isn't excusing her actions—especially given West's messy romantic history with Amanda's best friend, Ciara Miller—Kyle expressed major concern over the vicious online backlash targeting his ex-wife.

"I'm good, I’m actually really worried about Amanda, if I’m being honest," Cooke admitted. "I understand people have all sorts of opinions and I'm not justifying any kind of behavior, but from what I'm seeing she's kind of getting cyber bullied... Amanda knows that what she did was wrong, and she's trying to come to terms with it. But she is not well."

While Kyle is extending grace to his ex following their January 2026 separation, he has zero sympathy for West. The reality star didn't hold back, accusing the sports journalist of manipulating the narrative and playing the field while avoiding public scrutiny.

"All I know is West seems to be the kind of guy playing multiple women at the same time," Kyle stated. "And somehow, in all of this, like 50,000 people have decided that West deserves their follow. Meanwhile, they're just lighting up Amanda. I just feel bad."

Kyle also revealed that West's attempt to smooth things over man-to-man was completely lackluster. He described West's outreach as a "half-assed text message," claiming his costar is simply coasting on the "same charm he's used on every other chick."

The sudden romance reveal has left Kyle reflecting heavily on the demise of his four-year marriage. He admitted the relationship timeline is a "mental mind f--k" that has forced him to reevaluate Amanda's distant behavior during their final summer of filming together, noting how "checked out" she seemed at the time.

The massive Bravo controversy officially erupted on March 31 when Amanda and West released a joint Instagram statement confirming their budding relationship. Acknowledging the incredibly complicated dynamics—namely West's turbulent 2023 romance with Ciara—the new couple insisted their connection evolved unexpectedly from a genuine friendship and was never meant to hurt anyone.

"It was never our intention to purposely hide anything," the couple's joint statement read. "We also recognize that this has never had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless."
