Range Rover Rollout Stalled: JLR Pauses Solihull Plant Over Parts Shortage

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has hit the brakes on its Solihull manufacturing line. The luxury carmaker announced a temporary pause in production due to an ongoing supply chain hiccup with a third-party parts provider.

The suspension is expected to last roughly two weeks, dovetailing with a pre-scheduled factory closure for the Easter holiday. The pause will directly impact the assembly of the brand's highly sought-after Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models.

Addressing the bottleneck, a spokesperson for JLR stated:

"Due to a part supply challenge with a supplier, we are temporarily pausing production on certain vehicle lines at our Solihull manufacturing facility. We are working closely with that supplier to resolve the issue as quickly as possible and minimise any impact on our clients or our operations."

Despite the temporary freeze on the assembly line, factory employees are still expected to report to the Solihull site for their regular shifts.

This latest operational roadblock comes as the West Midlands automotive giant was just finding its footing again. Last year, the company suffered a massive cyberattack that crippled its computer networks for weeks. While production had successfully bounced back to normal levels following the digital breach, this new parts shortage presents a fresh hurdle for the automaker.
