French flying winger Louis Bielle-Biarrey has been crowned the 2026 Men's Six Nations Player of the Championship, capping off a spectacular tournament for the 22-year-old. This marks the second consecutive year the rugby sensation has taken home the prestigious accolade.
The Bordeaux Begles standout was a driving force behind France's successful campaign, which culminated in back-to-back Six Nations titles. His tournament was highlighted by a jaw-dropping performance in the decisive clash against England, where he crossed the try line four times to secure the championship for Les Bleus.
Bielle-Biarrey is quickly rewriting the history books. After setting a new benchmark for tries in a single Six Nations tournament with eight last season, the dynamic back eclipsed his own record this year by touching down nine times. The scoring frenzy has already vaulted him into fifth place on the championship's all-time try-scoring list.
The award was decided by a public vote, drawing a record-breaking 151,525 participants. Bielle-Biarrey dominated the polls, capturing 44% of the fan vote to beat out a strong shortlist of nominees that included Italian center Tommaso Menoncello, Irish center Stuart McCloskey, and Scottish wing Kyle Steyn.
Reflecting on the achievement, the French star directed the praise back to his squad:
"I'm just really happy, honestly. It's yet another reward for the team's hard work throughout the tournament. We were able to defend our title. Winning the tournament two years in a row is no small feat. We're very happy to have done it."
