"We Are the Hunters": Rohl Rallies Rangers for Thrilling Scottish Title Climax

Rangers head coach Danny Rohl is demanding his squad maintain a relentless "hunter" mentality as they navigate a fiercely contested three-way race for the Scottish Premiership crown.

A victory at Ibrox against Dundee United this Saturday would propel Rangers to the top of the table for the first time since March 2024. With current league leaders Hearts and third-place Celtic not scheduled to play until Sunday—facing Livingston and Dundee, respectively—Rangers have a prime opportunity to pile on the pressure.

However, Rohl insists that temporarily claiming the summit will not alter his team's psychological approach to the remaining fixtures.

"It is nice to have this now, but even if we would be top on Saturday, I would still speak from the position of we are the hunters," Rohl explained. "We want to hunt wins. We want to hunt our opponent. And with this mindset, we should go in the next seven games."

The German tactician has overseen a remarkable turnaround since taking the helm in October, when Rangers were languishing 13 points off the pace. Heading into the weekend unbeaten in their last eight league outings—recording four wins and four draws—Rohl expressed supreme confidence in his squad's evolution.

"There is no doubt my group is strong, convinced, and we have the quality to win the league," he added.

With a mere five points separating the top three clubs and only seven games left on the calendar, the climax of the Scottish season is drawing international attention. Rohl himself believes the unpredictability makes it one of the most captivating spectacles in continental football.

"For a neutral supporter, a football fan, this is maybe one of the exciting title races in Europe at the moment," the manager remarked. "As a manager, you look forward, because you know with your group you can win this title."

Before they can dream of lifting the trophy, Rangers must overcome a stubborn Dundee United side that has been a thorn in their side this campaign. The Glasgow giants have failed to secure a victory in their two previous meetings, requiring late goals in both instances to salvage 2-2 draws.

Acknowledging that Dundee United are still fighting for a coveted top-six finish, Rohl warned his players not to take the challenge lightly, emphasizing that a stellar performance will be strictly necessary to keep their title hunt alive.
