Yes Delays European Tour as Guitarist Steve Howe Prepares for Critical Surgery

Progressive rock legends Yes have announced the postponement of their upcoming European tour, citing guitarist Steve Howe's need for an essential medical procedure. The band made the difficult decision to ensure Howe can recover fully and return to performing at his peak.

"This decision has been made to ensure that Steve can return to the stage in full health and deliver the performances that fans deserve," the band stated.

The 11-date tour was scheduled to begin on April 22 in Glasgow, featuring a complete performance of their landmark 1971 album 'Fragile.' This European leg follows their successful North American tour last year.

Yes confirmed they are actively working to reschedule all UK and European shows for later dates, with full details expected after the Easter holiday. Current ticket holders are advised to retain their tickets, which will remain valid for the rescheduled performances. The band emphasized that other tour dates planned for later in 2026 will proceed as originally scheduled.

Howe, the sole remaining member from the original 'Fragile' lineup, currently performs alongside vocalist Jon Davison, bassist Billy Sherwood, drummer Jay Schellan, and keyboardist Geoff Downes. The band expressed gratitude to their UK supporters, hoping for continued understanding during this period.

No specific timeline has been provided regarding when the new tour dates will be announced, but the band assured fans they are prioritizing Howe's health while planning his return to the stage.
