15,000 Runners Raise Over P500,000 for Charity at Earth Day Run Manila

The Earth Day Run Manila drew a record 15,000 participants and raised more than P500,000 for environmental and community charities, organizers announced. The event, held at the Mall of Asia grounds, featured 3K, 5K, 10K, and 21K distances, with runners from all over the country joining the early morning race.

Proceeds from the run will benefit the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Philippines and several local environmental groups. "We are thrilled by the overwhelming support," said race director Maricel Bautista. "Every step taken today is a step toward a greener future."

The event also included a eco-friendly bazaar, tree-planting activities, and a commitment to reduce plastic waste. Participants received reusable cups instead of disposable bottles at hydration stations.
