Authorities arrested three alleged suspects in the kidnapping and killing of former Abuyog, Leyte vice mayor James Bohol and his son, Carlo James Bohol, the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG) said Wednesday.
According to Sam Nielsen's report on Super Radyo dzBB, PNP-AKG chief Police Brigadier General Edwin Balles said the three suspects were arrested around 9 a.m. on Tuesday following negotiations and coordination with their families.

Investigation showed the suspects allegedly kidnapped the victims from their warehouse in Barangay Santa Cruz on June 27.

The abduction and killings reportedly stemmed from a dispute involving one of the suspects and the former vice mayor in connection to an unpaid debt.
The live-in partner of one of the victims earlier sought police assistance on the same night of the kidnapping.
At around 9:57 a.m. on June 30, the bodies of the victims were found in a ravine in Barangay Imelda, Silago, Southern Leyte.
In a separate dzBB interview, Balles said the suspects will be turned over to the Mayorga Municipal Police Station and the Leyte Police Provincial Office. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA News
