Patrick Muldoon, an actor celebrated for his roles in popular television series and films, has passed away at the age of 57 following a sudden heart attack.

Muldoon's sister, Shana Muldoon-Zappa, shared details of the tragic incident, explaining that the actor was at his Beverly Hills home on Sunday morning. After having coffee with his girlfriend, he went to take a shower. When he did not return after an extended period, his girlfriend checked on him and discovered him unconscious on the bathroom floor.

"Paramedics rushed over and tried to revive Patrick, but there was nothing anyone could do," Shana Muldoon-Zappa said.

Muldoon launched his acting career while still in college, securing a role on the sitcom "Who's The Boss?" in 1990. After graduation, he appeared in "Saved By The Bell" before landing his breakout role as Austin Reed on the long-running soap opera "Days of Our Lives" from 1992 to 1995. He reprised the role from 2011 to 2012.

He also gained recognition for playing Richard Hart on "Melrose Place" and for his role as Zander Barcalow in the 1997 sci-fi film "Starship Troopers." His filmography includes recent projects such as "Deadlock" (2021), "Vanquish" (2021), and "Marlowe" (2022). His final film, "Dirty Hands," is set for release later this year.

At the time of his death, Muldoon was serving as an executive producer on the upcoming film "Kockroach," which stars Chris Hemsworth, Taron Egerton, and Zazie Beetz.

The entertainment community mourns the loss of the versatile actor, whose career spanned over three decades across television and film.
