Former pro skateboarder and reality TV daredevil Bam Margera recently proved that while his skating spirit is still alive and well, his landing gear might need a little more fine-tuning.
The 46-year-old was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) on Friday, traveling with his son, Phoenix. The duo was en route to a skate event hosted at Paul Rodriguez's renowned Primitive Skatepark.
According to Margera, event organizers asked him to kick off the festivities by landing a classic eight-stair ollie. Never one to shy away from an impromptu stunt, Bam decided to get some practice in before the big day. Spotting a perfect set of eight stairs right outside the airport terminal, he threw his board down and went for it.
Unfortunately, the concrete was less forgiving than expected. Video footage captured the MTV alum taking a heavy spill on the landing, making it painfully clear that a solid warm-up routine is highly recommended before launching down a flight of stairs in your mid-forties.
Despite the harsh wipeout, Margera's willingness to go full-send in the middle of a bustling transit hub proves he still possesses the fearless, chaotic energy that made him a household name.
