Former world number one Mark Allen survived a fierce fightback from Kyren Wilson to secure a 13-9 victory and advance to the World Championship quarter-finals at the Crucible Theatre.
The Northern Irishman stormed to a 5-0 lead but then lost six consecutive frames, trailing 6-5 against the 2024 champion. However, Allen regained control to lead 9-7 after Friday's middle session and won four of the six frames on Saturday to reach the last eight for the sixth time.
The 40-year-old's best Crucible performances came in 2009 and 2023 when he reached the semi-finals. He will next face either 2013 runner-up Barry Hawkins or three-time champion Mark Williams, with Hawkins leading 10-6 in their match.
Allen's quarter-final, another best-of-25 contest, is scheduled to begin on Tuesday and conclude on Wednesday.
