Ant Anstead is celebrating a major milestone with Renée Zellweger. The Born Mechanic host shared a rare glimpse into their relationship, marking five years together with a heartfelt tribute to the Oscar-winning actress.
On April 23, Anstead, 47, posted a throwback photo on Instagram from their first meeting on the set of Celebrity IOU: Joyride in 2021. "How it started….. Happy FIVE YEAR anniversary my beautiful lady! Hands down The best human I know! Luckiest boy! I love you my Ren," he wrote.
While Zellweger, 56, typically keeps her personal life private, Anstead often gushes about her on social media. Last November, when a statue of her iconic character Bridget Jones was unveiled in London, he simply called her "Iconic."
The couple first connected on the Discovery+ show, where Anstead helped Zellweger build custom cars for nurses who cared for her late publicist, Nanci Ryder. Zellweger has joked that Ryder may have brought them together from beyond the grave, calling it "serendipity."
Their relationship has since deepened, with Zellweger relocating to Southern California to live near Anstead and his youngest son, Hudson. "I live in Southern California, near San Diego," she told Hugh Grant in a 2025 British Vogue interview. "Because that's where my fellow lives, and his little boy."
