Anthropic has signed a massive $25 billion infrastructure deal with Amazon Web Services, dedicating 5 gigawatts of Trainium compute capacity to power Claude models over the next decade. The agreement, announced during an AWS Bedrock briefing covering April 19–25, 2026, marks a significant shift toward specialized silicon and agentic execution in the Bedrock ecosystem.
As part of the move, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore has launched a managed harness preview and CLI, allowing developers to deploy microVM-isolated agents in just three API calls. Meanwhile, Claude Opus 4.7 is now generally available, featuring a 1 million-token context window and a score of 87.6% on SWE-bench Verified.
Additionally, Claude Cowork enterprise environments can now run entirely within customer AWS accounts using Bedrock as the inference backend. Meta also committed to deploying tens of millions of AWS Graviton cores for agentic AI workloads.
