Apple's latest software update introduces a suite of AI-powered photo editing tools that aim to simplify professional-grade adjustments for everyday users. Early tests show they largely deliver on their promises, but not without raising questions about authenticity and manipulation.
“The AI tools are incredibly intuitive—you can erase unwanted objects or enhance lighting in seconds,” says a beta tester. “But there’s a thin line between enhancing a photo and altering reality.”
The toolset includes automatic object removal, smart color correction, and facial expression adjustments. While these features work seamlessly most of the time, occasional glitches—such as misidentifying shadows as objects—can produce unnatural results.
