Araneta City Unveils 'CoMEOWnity' Initiative to Support Stray Cats

Araneta City in Quezon City has launched a new program called "CoMEOWnity" aimed at improving the welfare of stray cats within the complex. The initiative focuses on providing food, shelter, and medical care for the feline residents, as well as promoting adoption and responsible pet ownership.

According to city officials, the program will include a dedicated feeding station, regular veterinary check-ups, and a trap-neuter-return (TNR) component to manage the stray population humanely. Volunteers and local animal welfare groups will collaborate to ensure the cats receive proper attention.

"We want to create a safe and caring environment for these animals," said a representative from Araneta City. "CoMEOWnity is our way of giving back to the cats that have become part of our community."

The program has already received positive feedback from residents and shoppers, with many expressing support for the compassionate approach. Future plans include educational campaigns on animal care and adoption drives.
