The 32-year-old singer shared a photo on Instagram from the dance studio, rocking a sleek, long ponytail while preparing for her Eternal Sunshine tour. The look immediately evoked the high ponytail she famously wore during her early career, from Yours Truly to thank u next.
But Grande was quick to clarify the distinction. In the comments, she told her hairstylist Alyx Liu, "i love this long (not high) pony." Liu echoed the sentiment, posting, "LOVE this long (not high) pony!!!!" to which Grande replied, "gigglllliiiing."
The singer has been experimenting with different styles lately. In March, she showed off her natural curls in a beauty video, and last October, she transitioned back to her natural brunette color after years of playing Glinda in Wicked.
Grande also revealed on The Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast that her late ex-boyfriend Mac Miller encouraged her to embrace her natural dark hair and move away from the red-haired Cat Valentine persona from Victorious.
