Arsenal have completed the signing of German forward Lisa Baum from RB Leipzig on a permanent transfer, the club announced on Friday.
The 19-year-old, who can play across the frontline, has penned a three-year contract with an option for a further year. Baum scored six goals in 26 appearances during her single season at the Frauen-Bundesliga side.
"I'm so happy to join Arsenal and I can't wait to get started," Baum said. "This league is so competitive and Arsenal is a big club so I'm excited to challenge myself and compete with the best. I want to win trophies and develop my game, and Arsenal feels like the perfect match to achieve that."
Baum began her senior career at Hamburger SV in 2021, helping the club earn two promotions in three years to reach the top flight. She netted 21 goals in 68 appearances for Hamburg before moving to RB Leipzig last summer. Internationally, she has represented Germany from under-17 to under-23 level.
Arsenal boss Renee Slegers said: "Lisa is a young wide forward who will bring direct intent and athleticism to our attacking group. At 19, she is still developing and we believe she has huge potential, which we will support her to achieve. We welcome her to Arsenal and look forward to the road ahead together."
Baum will wear the number 19 shirt and becomes Arsenal's fifth signing of the summer transfer window.
