The core stage of the Space Launch System (SLS) rocket for NASA's Artemis 3 mission has arrived at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The massive component, often referred to as the "heart" of the rocket, was transported approximately 1,450 kilometers from New Orleans aboard the Pegasus barge.
According to the Olhar Digital report, the core stage accounts for about 80% of the rocket's total structure. Upon final assembly in the Vehicle Assembly Building, the complete rocket will stand 64.6 meters tall. Artemis 3 aims to return humans to the lunar surface, including the first woman and the next man, as part of NASA's broader Artemis program.
