Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta expressed his frustration after a penalty awarded to his side was overturned by VAR during the 1-1 draw with Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
The incident occurred when Eberechi Eze was brought down in the box, and the on-field referee initially pointed to the spot. However, after a VAR review, the decision was reversed, much to Arteta's dismay.
"I'm fuming," Arteta said in his post-match interview. "It was not a clear and obvious error. The referee was in a perfect position and gave the penalty. VAR should not have intervened."
The draw leaves Arsenal with work to do in the second leg, but the penalty controversy is likely to dominate headlines.
