While everyone expects Fernando Mendoza to be the No. 1 overall pick, Ohio State standout Arvell Reese is making a bold claim: he's the best defensive player in this year's draft.
"I think I'm the guy because I play with relentless effort and a violent mindset," the 20-year-old All-American told TMZ Sports. "I'm putting violence and relentless effort first."
Reese is projected to go anywhere from the second to fifth overall pick, with many analysts linking him to the New York Jets (second pick) or the Arizona Cardinals if New York passes. When asked which destination he prefers—the desert or the Big Apple—Reese kept his focus on football, saying he's ready to bring his intensity to any team that drafts him.
