Aubrey Plaza and Christopher Abbott, who recently confirmed they are expecting their first child together, made their first public appearance as a couple at a Broadway after-party in New York City.
The pair attended the premiere of The Death of a Salesman and were photographed at Katz's Deli, where they appeared happy and affectionate with their arms wrapped around each other. Christopher sported a pinstripe button-up shirt with a gray jacket and gold jewelry, while Aubrey wore an all-black ensemble that highlighted her pregnancy glow.
This outing came just two days after Plaza was spotted walking her dog in Manhattan, showing off her baby bump in casual attire. The couple's relationship has evolved from a professional partnership that began in 2020 when they co-starred in Black Bear. They reunited three years later for the stage production Danny and the Deep Blue Sea in New York.
In a 2023 interview with The New York Times, Plaza praised Abbott's approach to acting, saying:
"He cares but he also doesn't care; it's the best recipe for me for a scene partner. It's fun and it's also good and it's also safe. I like to just throw things out the window also and laugh and mess around and not take it so seriously. It's a hard combo to come by."
Abbott echoed their creative compatibility, adding, "We're both unafraid to be ugly and weird and strange." He also noted their growing friendship, stating, "We want to entertain the audience, but I personally want to entertain Aubrey."
The couple, both in their early forties, have kept their romance relatively private until now, with this public appearance marking a new chapter as they prepare for parenthood.
