Bethenny Frankel has weighed in on the latest Summer House controversy, offering a surprisingly relaxed perspective on the brewing love triangle involving cast members Amanda Batula and West Wilson.
In an exclusive interview with E! News at the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards 2026 in Los Angeles, the former Real Housewives of New York City star downplayed the significance of the pair's new romance, which has sparked backlash due to Amanda's close friendship with West's ex, Ciara Miller.
"Consenting adults can be with other consenting adults," Frankel stated. "No one's married."
While Amanda is still legally married to her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, from whom she separated in January, Frankel emphasized that the reality TV environment inherently complicates personal relationships.
"You can't have a relationship on a reality television show," she added. "There's no girl code on reality television fueled by alcohol and scantily clad bikinis. Immediately no. It's ridiculous."
Frankel urged fans and critics to ease the pressure on the couple, advising, "None of this is gonna matter when the wash comes out, so don't worry about it."
The drama escalated when Amanda and West confirmed their relationship via a joint Instagram post on March 31. Shortly after, cannabis brand Edie Parker removed Amanda from a recent advertising campaign, replacing her image with another model and captioning the post, "A lot can change in a day."
Meanwhile, Ciara Miller appeared to address the situation humorously while hosting an HBO Max red carpet event, quipping to actress Sydney Sweeney, "I mean, if you steal your friend's ex-boyfriend..." Sweeney responded with a grimace, admitting, "It's not good."
The love triangle traces back to 2023, when Ciara and West dated briefly after meeting on the show before their emotional breakup. Amanda's own separation from Kyle Cooke was announced in January 2026, setting the stage for the current romantic entanglement.
