Blake Lively might be rethinking her parenting milestones after falling victim to a classic household trick this April Fool's Day.

The It Ends With Us actress took to her Instagram Story on April 1 to reveal that her four children—James, 11, Inez, 9, Betty, 6, and Olin, 3—successfully ambushed her with the age-old plastic wrap on the toilet seat prank.

Showcasing the bathroom sabotage, Lively posted a video of her toilet lid decorated with pink scribbles. She then repeatedly tapped the center of the seat, demonstrating the clear, taut plastic wrap her kids had carefully laid out to catch her off guard.

"I knew I never should've taught them how to read a calendar," the 38-year-old star joked in her caption.

While Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, generally keep their children out of the public eye, the Hollywood power couple has never shied away from sharing the hilarious realities of raising four young pranksters.

During an appearance at the Wall Street Journal's CMO Summit last November, the Deadpool star opened up about the couple's approach to raising their brood, noting that they utilize "soft parenting" methods to maintain peace—mostly.

"There's not a lot of yelling or punishments or anything like that," Reynolds explained. "My kids feel safe. Are they still, like, spawns of Satan? Yes. Am I calling myself Satan [at] this moment? Yes. But they are. They are still kids."

Despite the chaotic household, both actors have embraced the madness. In a recent interview with Vogue, Lively described her life as a working mother as deeply intimate, noting that balancing serious adult conversations while "sitting around with them doing chicken dances" is the most accurate depiction of her daily routine.

And if Reynolds has his way, the bathroom ambushes are only going to multiply. He previously expressed his desire to continue growing their family, stating that he welcomes "as many little heartbeats as possible, just running around, wrecking stuff in the house."
