Comedian Eugene Mirman, best known as the voice of Gene Belcher on the hit animated series Bob's Burgers, is currently hospitalized after being pulled from a burning vehicle in New Hampshire on Tuesday.

The terrifying incident occurred when the 51-year-old actor's 2026 Lucid Gravity crashed into the Bedford Toll Plaza. Following the collision, the vehicle burst into flames with Mirman trapped inside.

In a dramatic rescue, several bystanders—including New Hampshire Governor Kelly Ayotte and a veteran State Trooper—sprang into action, managing to pull the comedian to safety through a window of the flaming car.

New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall praised the rescuers' swift and selfless response.

"Certainly, their actions were heroic in what they did," Hall stated. "Without hesitation, they put themselves in danger to render aid to someone who was in need of it."

Mirman was immediately transported via ambulance to a local hospital, where he was treated for serious injuries. His representatives later released a statement confirming his recovery trajectory and expressing profound gratitude.

"Eugene was in a very scary car accident," the spokesperson said. "He wants to thank the bystanders, state police, first responders, and hospital staff who saved him. He is grateful to be on the mend. At this time, we kindly ask for privacy for Eugene and his family as he focuses on recovering from his injuries."

Authorities confirm that the crash is still under active investigation, though no charges have been filed at this time.
