Robert Bolick delivered a game-winning four-point shot with seconds remaining, lifting the NLEX Road Warriors to a 107-104 escape victory over the Terrafirma Dyip in the PBA Commissioner's Cup on Friday.
With the score tied at 104-104 and the clock winding down, Bolick pulled up from well beyond the arc and connected on a rare four-point play, giving NLEX a dramatic win. The rookie guard finished with 27 points, 8 assists, and 5 rebounds, proving once again why he is a frontrunner for Rookie of the Year honors.
“I just trusted my work. My teammates set great screens and I got a clean look,” Bolick said after the game. The shot was set up by an inbound play with 4.2 seconds left, and the entire NLEX bench erupted as the ball swished through the net.
NLEX head coach Frankie Lim praised his team's resilience. "We didn't panic when they came back. Robert is special—he has that clutch gene."
The Road Warriors improved to 4-3, while Terrafirma dropped to 2-5 despite a strong performance from import Brandon Edwards, who had 32 points and 15 rebounds. NLEX next faces the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel on Sunday.
