Brandon Sheets, the son of late "Storage Wars" star Darrell Sheets, has broken his silence following his father's shocking death.
In an emotional Instagram post accompanied by photos of the reality TV star, Brandon wrote: "I love you Dad and I will do my best to live in your honor and respect our Family. Let's all continue to build those memories and keep the legacy that is 'Darrell (The Gambler) Sheets.'"
He added that he needs more time to process the loss and urged fans to remember "all the good" his father brought. "The love we all have for this man and all his kindness is only a small portion of who he truly is," Brandon said.
A second post featured a video slideshow of Darrell looking happy at a wedding and beach trip. Brandon simply wrote that he misses his father.
TMZ first reported that Darrell Sheets died in April from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. Officers responded to his home around 2 a.m. and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
"Storage Wars" was still airing its season at the time of Darrell's death. Although he did not appear in recent episodes, A&E honored him with an in-memoriam card during the April 25 broadcast.
Darrell is survived by his children Brandon and Tiffany, as well as a grandson. He was 67.
