Brittany Mahomes is feeling all the feels as her daughter Sterling reaches a new milestone — a major haircut.
The mom of three took to Instagram Stories on April 28 to share before-and-after photos of 5-year-old Sterling’s hair transformation. In the first snapshot, Sterling’s long blonde locks fall in loose waves; in the second, several inches are gone, replaced by bouncier, more defined curls. Alongside the images, Brittany added a crying-face emoji and wrote, “Why does this make me wanna cry?”
Sterling, the eldest child of Brittany and Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, has been experimenting with her style lately. Just days earlier, Brittany posted a photo of Sterling in a western-inspired outfit — a button-up dress and oversized cowgirl hat — with the caption, “My baby wanted to be a cowgirl today.”
Reflecting on motherhood in a March 2024 interview with SheKnows, Brittany said, “I think I’ve been called to be a mom ever since I was little. Just seeing my kids grow up, and the things that they’re learning, and the things that they’re taking from their dad … when we have first experiences with them, taking them somewhere, seeing them happy and lit up and in good spirits when we do stuff, is probably the biggest thing that I enjoy.”
The Mahomes household includes Sterling, 3-year-old Patrick “Bronze” Mahomes Jr., and 15-month-old Golden Mahomes. Sterling has embraced her role as big sister; Brittany previously wrote in December 2022, “Just a little emotional today thinking about how blessed I am and how proud of this little angel I am. She has been doing so good as a big sister. She loves her brother so much & has been just the best little helper!!”
