Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando has firmly denied rumors of a romantic relationship with actress Kim Rodriguez, clarifying that they are merely acquaintances from their shared background in show business.
In a recent episode of "Kay Susan Tayo" vlog hosted by Susan Enriquez, Fernando addressed the gossip that has followed him since his transition from actor to politician. Speculation intensified after reports claimed he bought a car and gave gifts to Rodriguez.
"They linked me to her during the elections. There were so many baseless accusations against me," Fernando said. "They said I gave her a car, gave her this and that—none of it is true."
The governor, who starred in films like the original "Scorpio Nights," acknowledged knowing Rodriguez as a fellow actor but insisted they were never romantically involved. He described her as a "female friend," carefully choosing his words to avoid any implication of a relationship.
Fernando also denied rumors of a relationship with a radio news anchor, who was allegedly his "sugar baby" and recipient of a car and diamond ring. "None of that is true," he said, dismissing the stories as mere gossip.
When asked about his plans for marriage, Fernando replied, "It's up to God. I leave all my life decisions to Him."
The governor remains single and focused on his duties, despite persistent speculation about his personal life.
