Caitlyn Jenner has taken legal action against the estate of her former manager and close friend, Sophia Hutchins, claiming nearly half a million dollars in unpaid expenses prior to Hutchins' tragic death last summer.
According to court documents obtained by E! News, Jenner filed a creditor's claim in November 2025 for $439,095.88, which was officially "allowed" by Hutchins' estate on March 27, 2026. This means the estate has agreed to pay the substantial sum.
The 76-year-old Olympic champion alleges that Hutchins, who died in July 2025 at age 29 following an ATV accident, had accumulated significant debts using Jenner's financial resources. The detailed claim breaks down the amount into several categories:

Jenner stated in the court filing that Hutchins had intended to repay the money "at some future time" before her untimely death. Records show Hutchins had already repaid $75,000 toward the legal fees portion of the debt.
The two women's friendship spanned more than a decade, beginning when they were introduced by Hutchins' makeup artist. Hutchins eventually became Jenner's manager, handling both professional and personal matters for the reality television star.
Hutchins died on July 2, 2025, in Malibu from blunt force trauma. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the ATV she was driving rear-ended a Mazda before plunging off a 350-foot cliff.
"It looked like she tried to maneuver to go around it," Malibu/Lost Hills Sergeant Eduardo Saucedo told the Daily Mail, "but she was going too fast and just ended up clipping the rear end of that Mazda, causing her to veer off and go off the cliff there."
In the months following the accident, Jenner spoke publicly about the difficulty of coping with the loss of her longtime confidant.
"Recently my good friend Sophia passed away in a tragic accident," Jenner said during an August 2025 appearance on FOX News @ Night. "For the last seven weeks, I've been dealing with death, and it's so difficult."
Representatives for both Jenner and Hutchins' estate have not responded to requests for comment regarding the financial claim.
