A 50-year-old woman died in a fire that broke out in Caloocan City on Friday night, the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) reported.
The fire, which started at around 8 p.m., destroyed several houses in a residential area. Firefighters managed to put out the blaze after more than an hour, but not before the victim was found unconscious inside her home. She was declared dead on the spot.
According to BFP officials, the cause of the fire is still under investigation. No other casualties were reported, but several families were left homeless.
