Andrei Caracut delivered a career performance to lead Rain or Shine past San Miguel Beer, securing their fifth consecutive semifinal appearance in the PBA Commissioner's Cup. Caracut exploded for a game-high 32 points, including seven three-pointers, as the Elasto Painters dominated the Beermen 112-98 in the quarterfinal clash.
The victory marks a remarkable streak for Rain or Shine, who have now reached the semifinals in their last five conferences. Caracut's scoring outburst was complemented by strong contributions from Rey Nambatac (18 points) and rookie center John Perez (14 rebounds). San Miguel, despite a valiant effort from CJ Perez (28 points), could not contain Rain or Shine's hot shooting, which connected on 48% from the field.
"We just trusted each other and executed our game plan," Caracut said after the game. "This win is for the team and our fans." Rain or Shine will face the winner of the other quarterfinal matchup in the next round.
