A trial judge has officially thrown out the sexual harassment and defamation claims brought by actress Blake Lively against her It Ends With Us co-star and director, Justin Baldoni. The dismissal, handed down on Thursday, marks a major legal victory for Baldoni following a highly publicized and contentious dispute.
Lively's lawsuit detailed several instances of alleged misconduct that she claims took place on the set of the hit film. Among her core accusations, the actress alleged that Baldoni took liberties by kissing her during a scene where an unscripted physical exchange was not required. Furthermore, she claimed that Baldoni crossed boundaries by walking into her private trailer uninvited while she was breastfeeding.
Beyond the allegations directly involving her co-star, Lively also cited an uncomfortable incident in which a film producer allegedly showed her a video of his own wife giving birth.
In the lead-up to the judge's decisive ruling, Baldoni's legal team went on the offensive. The defense previously released raw, behind-the-scenes video footage from the movie set, aiming to publicly dismantle the actress's harassment allegations by providing alternative context to their on-set interactions.
