Authorities in Caloocan City are investigating a cable theft incident after closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage captured 10 men stealing telecommunications cables early Thursday morning. Police have identified three of the suspects based on the footage and are conducting follow-up operations to apprehend them.
The incident occurred along a main road in Barangay 176, where the group was seen cutting and pulling out cables from underground conduits. The theft caused service disruptions for residents and businesses in the area. Local officials have urged the public to report any suspicious activity, as cable thefts have been on the rise.
The Caloocan City Police Station is coordinating with telecommunication companies to track the stolen materials and prevent further incidents.
