Celebrities Rally to Overturn Gnome Ban at Chelsea Flower Show

A coalition of celebrities and gardening enthusiasts is calling on the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) to permanently lift its long-standing ban on garden gnomes at the Chelsea Flower Show. The campaign, supported by actors, musicians, and TV personalities, argues that the whimsical figures add charm and inclusivity to the prestigious event.

Traditionally, gnomes have been barred from the show due to their perceived kitsch value, but proponents say the ban is outdated. The movement gained momentum after a display featuring gnomes in the King's Garden was auctioned off for charity, raising over £10,000 for school gardening programs.

Organizers hope the RHS will reconsider its policy ahead of next year's show, allowing gnomes to take their rightful place among the floral displays.
