Payton Pritchard poured in a career playoff-high 32 points, leading the Boston Celtics to a decisive victory over the Philadelphia 76ers and seizing a 3-1 lead in their first-round series.
Pritchard was lights out from beyond the arc, hitting 7 of 12 three-pointers, and added 6 rebounds and 4 assists. His scoring outburst helped the Celtics overcome a slow start and build an insurmountable lead by the third quarter.
"Just staying aggressive," Pritchard said after the game. "My teammates found me in rhythm, and I was able to knock down shots. This is a big win for us."
Jayson Tatum contributed a near triple-double with 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 9 assists, while Jaylen Brown added 25 points. The Celtics shot 50% from the field and 40% from three-point range as a team.
For the 76ers, Joel Embiid led the way with 33 points and 12 rebounds, but he received insufficient support from his teammates. Tyrese Maxey managed just 15 points on 5-of-17 shooting, and James Harden was limited to 12 points and 8 assists.
The Celtics now have a chance to close out the series at home in Game 5.
