Channing Tatum appears to be processing his emotions through poetry. The actor shared a poignant verse on his Instagram Story amid swirling rumors that his ex-fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, is engaged to Harry Styles.
On April 27, Tatum posted a poem by John Roedel with the simple caption “read.” The poem, titled “My brain and heart divorced,” explores the conflict between logic and emotion. It begins: “My brain and heart divorced / a decade ago / about who was to blame about how big of a mess I have become / Eventually, they couldn't be in the same room together.”
The verse continues with the narrator seeking solace in their gut, which acts as an “unofficial therapist.” The poem concludes with a visit to the lungs, where breath offers respite: “what took you so long?”
While Tatum has not addressed the engagement rumors directly, the timing is notable. Kravitz, 37, has been linked to Styles since August 2025, following her split from Tatum in 2024 after a three-year relationship and a brief engagement. Reports suggest Styles proposed recently.
Tatum, 46, has since moved on with model Inka Williams, with whom he went Instagram official in April 2025. He shares daughter Everly, 12, with ex-wife Jenna Dewan.
Despite the breakup, Kravitz expressed no regrets about her time with Tatum. In a 2025 interview with Elle, she said: “I love this thing that we made together and I care for him very much. I’m so happy that all happened. I just feel so grateful to go on that journey together.”
Neither Tatum nor Kravitz have commented on the engagement rumors.
