China has called on all parties involved in the Iran situation to immediately cease military operations and return to dialogue, emphasizing that force cannot address the root causes of the conflict.
In a press briefing on Thursday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian expressed grave concern over the current escalation. He stated, "Using force will only exacerbate the situation, and military means cannot resolve fundamental problems. The sovereignty, security and territorial integrity of countries in the region should be respected and safeguarded."
Lin urged relevant parties to stop military actions, respond to mediation efforts, and achieve a comprehensive and lasting ceasefire as soon as possible. Since the outbreak of the conflict, China has maintained close communication with all parties, including Iran, working actively to promote de-escalation and advance peace efforts.
