Chinese actor Zhang Linghe, best known for his roles in period dramas, made a heartfelt appeal at the Straits Forum held in Xiamen on June 13. Addressing Taiwanese compatriots, he urged them to "come and see" the mainland, emphasizing the importance of cross-strait exchanges and mutual understanding.
The actor's appearance at the forum, which promotes cultural and economic ties between the two sides, drew significant attention. Zhang called for closer people-to-people connections, highlighting shared heritage and the potential for collaboration.
"We are all family," Zhang said. "I hope our Taiwanese friends can visit and experience the vitality and opportunities here firsthand."
