Chris Pratt had the sweetest reaction to the news that his former Parks and Recreation co-star Aubrey Plaza is expecting her first child with partner Christopher Abbott.
"She's going to do great," Pratt exclusively told E! News at the Beverage Forum in Manhattan Beach, California. "She's going to be a fantastic mother. She's very caring person."
Pratt, whose character Andy Dwyer married Plaza's April Ludgate on the hit NBC sitcom, expressed his excitement for the actress, who debuted her baby bump earlier this month.
"It's gonna be an amazing chapter for her," he shared. "We're all very excited for her."
The Guardians of the Galaxy star, who is a father of four—Lyla, 5, Eloise, 3, Ford, 16 months, and Jack, 13—drew on his own parenting experience when reflecting on what awaits Plaza. He recalled a recent epiphany about the best way to teach children life lessons.
"I was driving by this church, and it said, 'Sometimes a good life is better than a good sermon,'" the 46-year-old recalled. "So, I think instead of telling your kids what to do, just doing it."
Pratt shared that his son Jack loves to work out with him and that he strives to set a positive example through his own actions. He also noted that his children enjoy the protein shakes from his drink company, Jocko Fuel, and that Jack serves as a taste tester for the brand.
