John Legend and Chrissy Teigen are navigating the whirlwind of parenting four young children, finding joy in the energetic chaos of their bustling household.
"Having all that energy, love and laughter in the house is beautiful," John Legend told E! News in September. "Everybody's walking. Everybody's talking."
The couple are parents to daughters Luna, who turns 10 in April, and Esti, 3, along with sons Miles, 7, and Wren, 2. With three children now attending the same school, John noted that drop-off and pick-up routines have become slightly more manageable, though he described their daily life as "a nice kind of chaos."
Chrissy Teigen, who experienced pregnancy loss with son Jack in 2020, has spoken about her long-held dream of having four children. After welcoming Wren via surrogate in June 2023—just six months after giving birth to Esti—she reflected on how motherhood has reshaped her perspective.
"Your heart has room for so many different beings," Teigen explained on The Motherly Podcast. "One of the best things it’s taught me is to really embrace imperfection. When I first became a mother, little spills on the carpet, that kind of stuff drove me insane. But I really have grown into loving living in a lived-in house and a house that feels not so perfect."
The family has faced challenges together, including Miles' diagnosis with type 1 diabetes last year. John Legend shared how this experience has strengthened their family bonds.
"His condition is also building grit in him, and as a family," the Grammy winner told People. "I think it's building it in us as well because we are all rallying together to support him."
Despite the demands of parenting four young children, the couple continues to celebrate family milestones. They took their first vacation as a family of six in 2023, traveled to Italy for their 10th wedding anniversary vow renewal, and regularly share snapshots of their children's activities—from Luna's ice skating to kitchen adventures with all four kids.
As John Legend summarized their approach to parenting: "We've been through all kinds of things together, the highs and the lows, and as you mature, you grow in yourself."
