At AI Codecon, Cat Wu, head of product for Claude Code and Cowork at Anthropic, shared a striking example of AI-assisted code review in action. Wu explained that she had introduced a small bug into a codebase, but before she could submit a fix, a teammate's scheduled task using Claude Code automatically detected the issue and "landed a change" – essentially fixing the bug without human intervention.
This demonstration highlights how AI tools are evolving beyond simple code generation to actively participate in code review and correction. Wu noted that the feedback loop is now "superpowered," enabling teams to catch and resolve errors faster than ever before.
The session, hosted by O'Reilly, showcased the growing role of AI in software development workflows, where intelligent agents can operate autonomously to maintain code quality and reduce manual debugging time.
