ComfyUI Secures $30M at $500M Valuation, Empowering Creators with Granular AI Control

ComfyUI, a startup offering a node-based workflow for precise control over AI-generated images, videos, and audio, has raised $30 million in a funding round that values the company at $500 million. The round was led by Craft Ventures, with participation from Pace Capital, Chemistry, and TruArrow.

Founded as an open-source project in 2023, ComfyUI emerged shortly after the debut of diffusion models. At the time, popular tools like Midjourney and DALL-E often produced flawed outputs, such as extra fingers or distorted features. The creators of ComfyUI built a modular framework that gives users granular command over each step of the generation process.

The platform rapidly gained traction among creative professionals, prompting its evolution into a full-fledged company. Today, ComfyUI provides an intuitive interface that allows users to connect and adjust model components, enabling everything from fine-tuned image editing to custom video and audio synthesis. Artists, designers, and filmmakers use ComfyUI to maintain artistic control while leveraging the power of generative AI.

“We believe creators should have the freedom to guide AI tools according to their vision, not be limited by black-box outputs,” said a ComfyUI spokesperson. The new funding will be used to expand the team, enhance the platform’s capabilities, and support its growing community of users.

With this investment, ComfyUI aims to become a central hub for professional-grade AI media production, challenging more automated solutions by prioritizing user control and customization.
