Country Legend Ray Stevens Hospitalized with Neck Injury Days Before Album Drop

Country music icon Ray Stevens has been hospitalized after sustaining a serious neck injury in a fall, just weeks before the scheduled release of his new album.

Stevens, known for hits like "The Streak" and "Everything Is Beautiful," fell at his Nashville home earlier this week, resulting in a broken neck. The 85-year-old entertainer is currently receiving treatment at a local medical facility.

Despite the setback, Stevens' team confirmed his upcoming album "Favorites Old & New" remains on track for its April 10 release date. The collection features both classic hits and new material from the Grammy-winning artist.

"Ray is in good spirits and determined to recover quickly," said his longtime manager. "He's been working on this album for months and wants his fans to enjoy it as planned."

The accident has prompted an outpouring of support from fellow musicians and fans across social media platforms, with many sharing well-wishes for the beloved performer's recovery.

Stevens, who has been active in the music industry for over six decades, was inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1980 and continues to perform regularly despite his age.
