A London court has upheld a ban preventing supermodel Naomi Campbell from serving as a charity trustee, ruling that she is unfit to manage a charitable organization. The decision came during her appeal against a previous prohibition imposed by the Charity Commission.
The Commission had barred Campbell from trustee roles after an inquiry found misconduct and mismanagement at her charity, Fashion for Relief. The appeal panel agreed, stating that Campbell's lack of financial oversight and transparency demonstrated unsuitability for such a position.
"The evidence shows a clear failure to comply with legal duties," the tribunal noted in its judgment.
The ruling marks a definitive end to Campbell's involvement with the charity, which the Commission described as having significant governance failures.
