Courtney Stodden is brushing off a bloody head injury she sustained after leaving a restaurant, telling TMZ the pain is nothing compared to what mistreated animals go through.
The reality star and model spoke to our photographer in Los Angeles on Friday, just a day after she posted a graphic video showing blood streaming down her face. In the clip, Stodden warned fans not to try the "bend and snap" move from Legally Blonde, saying it led to her gruesome wound.
But when asked about the injury, Stodden quickly shifted focus to animal welfare. "Yeah, I got a little bump, but it's nothing," she said. "Animals are abused every day and they can't speak up. That's what really matters."
Stodden, a longtime animal rights advocate, used the moment to call for better treatment of animals in factory farms and shelters. She urged her followers to adopt rather than shop and to report any signs of abuse.
The 31-year-old did not say whether she sought medical treatment for her cut, but seemed in good spirits despite the visible blood.
