Tom Brady and his 18-year-old son, Jack, enjoyed a father-son basketball outing that had fans doing a double-take. The retired NFL legend and his spitting-image teenager were spotted sitting courtside on April 1 as the Miami Heat took on the Boston Celtics in Florida.
The NBA and the Miami Heat celebrated the high-profile attendees with a collaborative Instagram video, playfully captioning the clip, "Not an April Fools joke... the 🐐 has been spotted!" Though the hometown Heat ultimately fell to the Celtics, the duo seemed to enjoy their time on the sidelines.
Jack, whom Brady shares with actress Bridget Moynahan, is no stranger to the NBA spotlight. The towering teen recently hit the hardwood with New York Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns. Back in November, Towns shared photos of a private practice session, which featured the professional center giving Jack pointers as the teen showed off an impressive slam dunk.
While the seven-time Super Bowl champion is a regular fixture at professional sporting events, he takes a much stealthier approach when watching his own children compete. Brady—who also shares Benjamin, 16, and Vivian, 13, with ex-wife Gisele Bündchen—recently confessed on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon that his teenagers would rather he stay out of the limelight at their games.
"They want me to stand outside the arena when they're playing," Brady joked, explaining that he often relies on a hoodie and a pulled-down hat to stay completely incognito. The covert wardrobe ensures that the attention remains firmly on his children's athletic feats rather than his celebrity presence.
Since hanging up his football cleats for good, Brady has leaned heavily into his role as a dedicated dad, making family his ultimate priority. As he happily shared earlier this year, "I love spending time with them. They're the best part of every day of mine."
