In the moments before his death, paranormal author and 'Ancient Aliens' regular David Wilcock made a desperate 911 call, revealing deep financial and health struggles, according to law enforcement.
The 53-year-old called dispatchers Monday morning, saying "I need to leave" and "I will be to the left of the house," while also discussing ongoing money troubles and medical issues. He would not confirm whether he was armed or intended to harm himself.
Audio from the call, obtained by TMZ, captures dispatchers relaying the situation in real time, describing it as a "potential suicide." Deputies from the Boulder County Sheriff's Office responded to his Colorado home, where they found Wilcock in a mental health crisis.
Authorities say deputies approached cautiously, staging nearby until backup arrived due to the unknown threat level. Just before reaching him, Wilcock told dispatch, "I'm sorry to put you through this," and hung up.
Seconds later, deputies saw him outside with a gun to his head. Despite commands to drop the weapon, a single shot rang out. Wilcock died at the scene.
No one else was found on the property during a subsequent search.
