The Legion is the fourth boss encounter in the game Saros, and its unique attack patterns can be challenging. This guide breaks down the best strategies to counter its moves and secure victory.
Understanding the Legion's Attacks
The Legion has three main phases. In the first phase, it unleashes a rapid series of projectiles. Dodge sideways to avoid them. In the second phase, the boss summons smaller enemies—take them out quickly to prevent being overwhelmed. The third phase introduces a devastating area-of-effect attack. Watch for the ground glow and move out of the marked zone.
Recommended Loadout
- Weapon: Use a rapid-fire rifle for the first phase to stagger the boss, then switch to a shotgun for close-range damage in the later phases.
- Armor: Equip gear that boosts movement speed and reduces damage from elemental attacks.
- Abilities: Bring a healing ability and a shield to block the boss's charged attack.
Phase-by-Phase Strategy
Phase 1
Stay at mid-range. When the Legion begins its projectile barrage, strafe left or right consistently. Do not stop moving. After the barrage, the boss will pause—this is your window to unload damage.
Phase 2
As soon as the adds spawn, focus them down. Use area-of-effect abilities if available. Once they are cleared, return your attention to the Legion. It will now use a ground slam—jump just before impact to avoid the shockwave.
Phase 3
The boss becomes more aggressive. It will telegraph a large red circle on the ground—immediately dash out of it. Then it will charge at you. Use your shield ability to block or dodge at the last second. Counterattack after the charge ends.
General Tips
- Conserve stamina for dodging; do not waste it on sprinting.
- Learn the audio cue for the area attack—a low hum before the ground glows.
- If you are struggling, upgrade your gear to at least level 15 before attempting this boss.
With persistence and these tactics, you will overcome the Legion and progress in Saros.
