Demi Lovato brought her husband, Jutes, onstage during her It's Not That Deep Tour stop in New York City on April 24 for a surprise performance of their wedding song, the Goo Goo Dolls' 'Iris.'
Wearing a red bodysuit and matching gloves, Lovato addressed the crowd: 'I wanna do something really special. My husband is here. Baby, will you come up here?' Jutes, dressed in all black, stepped out to applause.
'What do you say we sing together for the first time?' Lovato asked. 'Let's do it,' Jutes replied. The couple then serenaded each other with the 1998 love song, which had been their first dance at their May 2025 wedding. Holding hands throughout the emotional duet, they shared a kiss as the song ended.
'Give it up for my baby!' Lovato said after the performance. Jutes echoed, 'Give it up for my baby!' before exiting.
In a recent interview with E! News, Lovato spoke about falling 'in love more and more every day' with Jutes. 'I really thought on my wedding day—that was maxed out, like the most amount of love that you'll ever feel for a person,' she said. 'And then time goes by and you just form this connection that is so intimate and so fulfilling that you just fall completely more and more in love.' She added, 'We laugh, we have so much fun together. We stay up late laughing until we're crying and it just feels like a giant sleepover with your best friend that you happen to be really, really attracted to.'
The couple, who went public in August 2022, married in a ceremony featuring the Goo Goo Dolls' frontman John Rzeznik performing their first dance song live.
